DIRECT XBT TRADING

How payments work

Payment goes directly from the buyer’s Bitcoin BLAKE2b (XBT) wallet to the seller’s wallet. XBT Market never holds the purchase funds.

New to paying with XBT? Get a compatible wallet. The market app and your payment wallet are separate.

  1. Agree the order. Check shipping coverage, charges, dispatch estimates and return terms. For shipped orders, provide your destination country and propose the total including delivery. Exchange exact addresses privately outside this site. The seller accepts those exact terms and provides a receiving address, deadline and required confirmation count.
  2. Check before paying. Confirm the seller, XBT network, address and amount directly. Addresses on this site are seller-provided and not validated. Do not pay an expired instruction, a cancelled order or an order with an open issue.
  3. Pay using your own wallet. No payment is sent by this website. Once sent, record the wallet’s transaction ID using Record payment sent. Do not send again because the status is still awaiting confirmation.
  4. Seller checks receipt. The seller checks the transaction, exact amount, destination and required confirmations in their own XBT wallet, then confirms receipt on the order.
  5. Complete delivery. For shipping, the seller uses a tracked service and records the carrier and tracking number with Mark shipped. The buyer checks tracking with the carrier and confirms receipt only after delivery. Pickup and digital orders keep their delivery / service completion step.

A transaction ID alone is not proof of payment. This order flow does not verify the seller’s wallet balance or purchase receipt. Status labels distinguish buyer reports from seller confirmations. These are statements by the participants, not independent verification.

Use a saved private order link to check progress. No email notifications are sent. Listings without a seller profile use direct contact only and do not have this order workflow.

Changed plans before payment? Either participant can choose Cancel unpaid order on an accepted order after checking with the other party that no payment was sent. This option is unavailable once payment is reported or while an issue is open. Cancellation does not reverse a wallet transaction.

Platform fees

If a seller platform fee applies, the exact amount is shown before the seller accepts the order. The fee pilot uses 2% of the agreed total including delivery, rounded up to whole satoshis, due after the buyer reports completion. The seller pays it separately from their own wallet. Existing orders without an accepted fee policy are not charged.

Cancelled orders owe no platform fee. A buyer-confirmed full sale refund waives an unpaid fee; any received fee needs refund review with support. Fee-payment verification does not verify the seller’s receipt, delivery or identity. No automatic refund is sent. Fees below the on-chain invoice minimum are not requested in this pilot.
